Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1995. She is a famous actress that has appeared in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a filmmaker and actor family. She pursued both professions herself. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento at the age of nine, was her very first film. In 1988, Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played the role of Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, was her character as Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido in 1992, was the film that launched Asia's career off. As she grew older, playing girls, she shifted to perform more challenging and mature roles. The film received a great reception at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma (1993), she worked for the first time with her father, famed Italian horror director Dario Argento (her mother is one of Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl who is in search of her parents' murderer. The Phantom of the Opera is her third film with her father. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze demonstrated Asia's intense way in playing. In 1993, she portrayed Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a role so complex that she won the David di Donatello Award as the most outstanding actress. Patrice Chereau was the director. Queen Margot and she also had the role of a physically disabled girl in that film. Her 1995 collaboration together with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another David di Donatello award and Grolla di Oro. Asia made her directorial debut in 1994 by directing two short films. Prospettive. In 1996, Asia directed a documentary about her father. The year 1998 saw Asia produced Abel/Asia (2000), an award-winning film on Abel Ferrara. Asia debuted as a director of feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). The film featured her as a director. She also starred and authored the screenplay. It was released on May 20, 2000, both in Italy as well as throughout the rest the world. It was awarded a trophy during the Williamsburg International Film Festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou was her first born child in the year 2001. After directing several music videos she had Anna Lou. In 2002 Asia appeared in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thrille directed with Vin Diesel. Asia has also written some short stories which have been published by many magazines.
